Steps

  1. 1

Install Tube Spline 95208 in Do-It Skirt Mold 95209. Do not use a tube insert in the skirt mold.

  2. 2

Shoot the orange skirt and let the plastisol set enough to hold its shape.

  3. 3

Remove the loaded spline from the skirt mold, leaving the orange skirt on the spline. Trim the sprue without disturbing the skirt.

  4. 4

Fit the tube insert required for Do-It’s 3.5-inch Tube mold (9519): use the 1 1/4-inch standard insert or the 1-inch T-Rig insert for the thicker-headed T-Rig option.

  5. 5

Transfer the loaded spline and selected insert into the 3.5-inch Tube mold and seat the assembly fully.

  6. 6

Close the mold and shoot the green-pumpkin plastisol to form the body and bond it to the orange skirt.

  7. 7

Let the completed tube cool sufficiently, then remove it from the insert and spline.

  8. 8

Inspect the first bait for alignment, complete fill, cavity depth, and a sound body-to-skirt bond before running the batch.

A light film of worm oil or softener on the tube insert can help release the finished bait, but keep it off the body-to-skirt bonding area.
